Many are looking to find a career doing what they love. Few are fortunate enough to do just that daily… work that they love.
Passion and purpose. Isn’t it why we’re here. Then, why does it seem so hard to do what we love and make a living from it?
Maybe because it takes heart and courage to travel the road which leads us there. Deep down, we know what we are called to do. But, the road there is often dark, scary and lonely. We know this because some of us have begun the path and soon gave up. We gave up because things got shaky and uncertain. Not many people would consistently support us and so we quickly found ourselves out there alone. And, few people like to travel solo.
Getting to what we call the a purpose driven life. A life of doing what we love takes heart. It takes courage because on that road, we grow tired of not having enough money, tired of trekking it alone, tired of living a life full of uncertainty.
But, what would happen if we pressed forward? One day longer. One month longer. What would happen if we kept going?
There is a quote by Paulo Coehlo from his New York Best Seller, The Alchemist, “When you want something all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” Do we believe this? Does God and the universe conspire to meet us where our faith begins or ends? I certainly believe so. I encourage you to keep moving forward. There will be days when everything will be sunny and bright and you feel empowered and on fire! There will also be days where you feel lonely, alone and the direct object of a conspiracy theory. Keep going.
On days when things get rough, I can guarantee that something special will happen on those days to push you further. Something or someone will speak LIFE into your being. A little piece of heaven. You’ll know it when it happens because it will immediately put a smile on your face. That’s your confirmation that the universe is conspiring on your behalf. That God is moving mountains behind the scenes. All in an attempt to slowly, yet surely, place you exactly where you need to be. Full of purpose, passion and perfect timing to do the work you love and were uniquely made to do. Now, that’s Badass.
