GB 27~ So GRATEFUL! Mentoring Program for Young Mothers of Color… The Sending Love Series!
In honoring and highlighting Single Parents during episode 25 of the Sending LOVE Series (click here to listen), I got to thinking about my time as a young, single Mom in my early twenties.
I was uncertain of myself, I was mostly alone and I was doing the best that I could with what I had to work with. My parents and immediate family were long distance, living in another state. It was just me, my young baby and my circle of friends- turned family. It was an overwhelming yet, wondrous stage and time of my life.
During my recent time of reflection, I started to think of ways that I could make a difference in the lives of others. To whom much is given, much is required.
Twenty- three years ago, I could have used a caring mentor. I could have used an ear to share my story. I could have used someone to assist and coach me with my personal and professional dreams and goals which were with me still. And just like that, the SO GRATEFUL! Mentoring Program was born.
There are limited spaces available, so please email me at GratefulBadass7@gmail.com for an application and for additional details.
