GB 35: Gratefully Yours~ A Mother’s Love
In honor of Mother’s Day weekend, I bring to you seven amazing women who answered my call to be open and transparent. Each is dear to me in some special way.
These seven women share their most precious stories and experiences of Motherhood. Each share a different perspective. A perspective that I’m certain, in some way, will reach you and touch you in a most profound way. One Mother’s story, two or three, or all will take you back to stories and experiences that you possess. Stories and experiences that you may have forgotten or remembered just yesterday.
These women are Mothers. They are my family, they are my sister- friends. Listen closely as they honor the gift of Motherhood and allow us to do the same. They are:
- Jessie, Retired Teacher, Social Justice Activist – her personal story of being Mother to a beautiful daughter, Leylah
- Ramona, Professor, Finance Executive– her story of parenting her Military Man and Man-Child D.
- Angela, Entrepreneur, Business Professional- her story of birthing and raising a son and daughter through delightful times and not-so- great moments.
- Gwendolyn, Former Radio Professional, Teacher, Community Youth Advocate – her story of the blessing of becoming a parent when doubt of being a Mother was near
- Angel, Creative & Founder & Owner of ShugafxSweets– shares the joy of watching her son grow. Her amazing son, one and only BROTHER to MY DAUGHTER, JSparkle
- Dimyka, Co- Founder of Red Elephant Tea Co.– shares stories of her beloved Mother (who put June Cleaver to shame!) which made way for Mothering her beautiful family. And, the decision of having a child after giving birth to her stillbirth son.
- Stephanie, Crohn’s Disease Survivor, Community Activist, Writer & Poet – her touching story of love, cherished memories of her fun- loving Mother and saying goodbye in 2017.
After personally producing this episode, listening and taking in each and every story, my heart was and remains full. I’m grateful for each in responding to my request as guests. Agreeing to share their personal stories. Seven blessings. I pray abundant blessings will follow each of them and you, the listener.
I’m thankful for this podcast and platform. I’m thankful for my beautiful children, Kaylon and Jalyn. Many thanks to my first-born love whose idea inspired the story of this episode- Gratefully Yours, A Mothers Love.
