GB 37: Guest~ Badass Warrior, Crohn’s Advocate and Survivor: Stephanie Stinson- Robb
Stephanie Stinson- Robb is a Badass. A Badass Warrior.
During this episode, I talk with my good friend of more than twenty years. I have been aware of Stephanie’s story of living and overcoming life with Crohn’s Disease, a chronic illness for the better part of our friendship. But, not really.
During our talk Stephanie shares intimate details of her life. She shares freely, speaking with such courage and strength.
Listen in. Please share Stephanie’s story with all who may be living with chronic illness. Anyone who may be suffering in silence. Someone who knows someone living with a chronic disease. Someone who may be living with depression and/or mental illness.
Stephanie’s shares a life of living with Crohn’s Disease:
- Living with Crohn’s for nearly three decades
- Diagnosed during her freshman year of college
- Eight major surgeries over the years
- Living with 75% of her intestines removed
- Living with depression
- Contemplating suicide
- Living with loss
- How she overcomes daily
- Learning how to smile through the pain
Stephanie recently participated in a walk in support of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia . You can STILL support her team, #NoGutsAllGlory, her efforts to raise funds in Support of Crohn’s. Click here.
I cannot fully express how inspired I am by the story of my friend. The courage and strength that she carries. The kind and gentle soul that she is throughout it all. Stephanie is truly a blessing to others and I happy to have her in my life. She is a wonderful God Mother to my oldest child, Kaylon.
