For episode 44, I had the privilege of speaking with another Badass friend and classmate, Dr. Nichelle Rivers.
Recently, I was able to reconnect with Nichelle and I am so happy that our paths have crossed again. After learning about Nichelle’s work and all that she is doing, I immediately thought of having her as a guest on the Grateful Badass Podcast. I’m grateful that she agreed.

- Currently, the Director of Grants and Funded programs for the Roosevelt Union Free City School District.
- Founding President of the P. O.W.E.R, Foundation, an advocacy and empowerment organization which works with LGBTQ Youth.
- An extensive background as an Educator and Administrator serving in several positions, such as, Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
- A known expert in the areas of Bullying, Race and Gender Equality and Peace Education, naming a few areas of her expertise.
