I know I do it often,

Make assumptions, that is. 

Why I make them,

I do not know. 

The mind works in mysterious ways. 

I will say that the act of making assumptions seldom serves me well.

Often, leaves me cold and bitter,

unsure and paranoid,

positioned to make even more…. assumptions . 

This day, I vow,

Assumptions, no more.

Stand only in the power of knowing.
