One year ago today, quarantined and uncertain of what was to come in the country and in the world. In order to make some sense of it all my daughter, J and I started writing daily notes. Our notes, a manner of therapy, were written simply to make it through scary and anxiety-ridden days. Notes of comfort, reminders of our humanity, reminders of our faith. We were reimagining humanity.
Many months and seventy- five notes later, we memorialized our creative notes for the future ahead. A global pandemic, the first in one hundred years since the Influenza Virus. We were in the midst of making history for months, years and decades ahead. We compiled all notes into what is now- Grateful As Ever Daily Quarantine Notes: Finding Solace During the Coronavirus Pandemic Book. This book serves as a reminder for us and for the world how one family living in New York City gratefully made it through each day during the height of a global pandemic.
One note, one day at a time. We are Grateful As Ever.
