Grateful Badass Presents #BacktoLife- NYC Museum Series 2021. During this series we will take our readers along with us as we visit several museums throughout the city over the next few months. It is our attempt and intention to get back to some sense of normalcy and doing what we love in our lives. We hope you are doing the same as our country opens back up fully as the pandemic and cases numbers decline steadily.

First up, MOMA. Museum of Modern Art in Midtown, New York.

Excited to view the exhibit- Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America which ran from Feb through May, 2021 and is available online. This is an exhibition which presents the work of eleven commissioned Artists, Engineers and Designers over the last three years in the making. These participants present pieces that reconsider how Black America can be portrayed from a lens of equity and inclusion taking up the question and notion of how America has refused to share space with Black folks through anti- Black racism using urban renewal and many additional systems and institutions. Reconstructions considers how ten major cities can be repaired with a keen eye towards beginning with what was lost in many Black cities, communities, neighborhoods and lives.
